David Armando Resendes

A true warrior in life. Through trials and tribulations a man is created. A man is built on the foundations that he builds with God, and the small victories he has with himself when no one but God is watching. Though no man is perfect, he will struggle in silence so the people around him can embrace his strength. Every man is hand selected by God, and that man builds a legacy with the hope that the legacy he builds is guided by the hand of God. Every now and then, God forms such a strong bond with this man he’s created. He needs them by his side in the form of an angel.

David Armando Resendes was born in Lubbock, Texas, and raised in Amarillo. While most of his family is in Texas, he grew his family tree in Colorado, where he had kids, met the love of his life, and cemented his legacy forever with his boys.

The boys that he raised into men will forever miss him. He wasn’t just a man to look up to, but he was a model man to aspire to be. He taught these young men that when times got hard, and when there’s nowhere else to think, just look up. His faith carried him through life, and when the world seemed heavy on his shoulders, talking to him made it seem like things were as light as a feather.

He taught so many about the idea of love, pure unconditional love. The idea that one could have been created for another person was, and is, foreign to many, unless you knew Debbie and Dave. The two of them created and sustained life and love for 31 glorious years, with a story written only in the stars. Debbie was his rock.

God called him home. He left behind a legacy that his family will get to carry on forever, a legacy built on determination, grit, passion, and God.

He will be dearly missed, and his memories will be cherished forever.
